2026 Series Championship: Official Scoring Rules
The Goal: We want to see who the best all-around rider is. We know we have a mix of team events and solo races, so we came up with a system that keeps the math simple and the racing fair.
1. How to Earn Points To become the Series Champion, consistency is key. We follow a "Golden Rule": A Win is a Win. Whether you win a drag race or an endurance race, the base points are the same.
Eligibility: You must start at least two different events to be scored for the Series Championship. If you only race once, you get your trophy, but your points do not count toward the series standings.
2. The Point Breakdown Every rider who shows up, starts, and finishes a race gets +5 Participation Points. This is added to your finishing points.
• 1st Place: 30 Total Points (25 Base + 5 Bonus)
• 2nd Place: 25 Total Points (20 Base + 5 Bonus)
• 3rd Place: 21 Total Points (16 Base + 5 Bonus)
• See chart below…
Note: You must finish the race to earn the participation bonus.
3. The "Iron Man" Bonus Because riding an endurance race alone is physically harder than splitting it with a team, we are awarding a bonus for the Iron Man classes in the Dusk Till Dawn and Bol D' Oregon events.
• Iron Man Bonus: +10 Points added to your total.
• Example: If you win 1st Place in Iron Man, you get: 25 (Base) + 10 (Bonus) + 5 (Participation) = 40 Total Points.
4. Team Racing Rules (The "Captain's Clause") For the team events, we want to make sure the scoring doesn't get crazy. Here is how we handle it:
• Individual Scoring: If your team wins, every rider on that team gets 1st Place points individually.
• No Stacking: You cannot add your teammates' points together. Rider A cannot take Rider B’s points to get a "triple score." A win is worth 30 points, whether you did it alone or with help.
• Non-Transferable: Points stay with the rider who earned them. You cannot donate points to another rider.
5. The "Evaporation" Rule If a rider wins a race (1st Place) but never races in the series again, their points are removed from the series tally.
• Important: This does not bump everyone else up. If you finished 2nd behind a "One-Race Wonder," you still keep your 2nd place points. You earned 2nd, not 1st. This keeps the competition honest.
6. Tie-Breakers If we have a tie in points at the end of the 6 events, here is how we decide the winner:
Whoever entered the most Iron Man classes.
Whoever has the most 1st Place finishes.
Whoever performed best in the Field Games (Technical Tie-Breaker).
7. The Club Cup (Team Championship)
• While the Series Championship rewards the best individual rider, the Club Cup rewards the strongest Motorcycle Club. This is a battle for bragging rights for your motorcycle club, and any other challenger brave enough to step up.
Eligibility:
• Any recognized Motorcycle Club may compete.
• Clubs must "Declare" themselves and submit a roster of competing members prior to the first event. This prevents riders from banding together mid-season to create a "fake" club.
Club Scoring (The "Strength in Numbers" System):
The Club Cup rewards turnout and reliability. We want to see your patch on the starting line and at the finish line.
· +1 Point: Awarded for every declared member who Starts a race (pays entry fee and takes the green flag).
· +10 Points: Awarded for every declared member who Finishes a race (does not DNF).
+5 Point Podium Bonus: Awarded to the club if a member finishes 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
The Trophy:
The Club with the highest cumulative total at the end of the 6 events wins the Club Cup.
